🏺 Prasonisi Reef
Just a few meters off the southern coast, Prasonisi Reef is a small rocky island close to Agia Galini offering a dive into history. Reachable either by shore or by boat (approx. 7 km from the dive center), this site is renowned for its amphorae, vases, and remnants of an ancient shipwreck.
The reef stretches around 300 meters in length and offers depths ranging from 0 to 60 meters, making it suitable for divers of various experience levels. Visibility is typically excellent, although currents can vary depending on weather conditions.
This site is ideal for those who enjoy a combination of marine exploration and cultural discovery. You'll find numerous fragments of ancient pottery scattered across the seafloor — a glimpse into maritime trade routes from centuries past.
